Venus: The Case of the Grand Slam Queen

Venus Williams arrives in London for a tennis tournament, where she starts to be stalked by a mysterious figure while trying to win the championship.

Venus: The Case of the Grand Slam Queen is a standard hidden object title starring Venus Williams, with the celebrity tennis player providing voice acting for the game. The gameplay follows closely the conventions of the genre, where most of the time the player has to find and collect a series of items listed at the bottom of the screen. In some locations, the objective is to take photographs of certain portions of the scenery displayed at the bottom tray. The hint button at the bottom interface shows the position of one of the required items when activated, taking some time to recharge after use.

There are some mini-games that take place on separate screens, where the player has to dress Venus by dragging an dropping items of clothing on her image reflected on a closet mirror, play a Breakout clone with a tennis racquet as the paddle and soda cans as the bricks, find all the differences between two similar pictures and complete other similar challenges. The game is divided in fourteen chapters, each unlocked by answering a question on a computer log-in screen. The information necessary to enter the password can be found on the journal, automatically filled out with new entries as the game progresses.
