Description

The Isle of Wight add-on in the VFR Real Scenery series of expansion packs for Flight Simulator X is a smaller pack than the 4 main titles that comprise the series and is also a part of the Central & Southern England package.

It includes the entire island (about 900 square kilometres) and all the principle towns - Newport, Cowes, Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin, Yarmouth and Ventnor. There is also a rendition of The Needles (including the lighthouse), all with detailed scenery using 25cm digital aerial images from GeoPerspectives displayed at 1m per pixel resolution in-game. It also includes the other features from the series, such as detailed water and improved night textures.
