Simpsons fans will love identifying the show's many characters and watching Bart tackle so many challenges, none of which are too difficult. Non-fans may find the game silly however, and too reliant on the character's charms. Admittedly, you've seen most of these styles of game play, but not always on one cart, and not always with such good humor.

Basically the same game as the SNES version, this one gets identical ratings. Likewise, it's challenge will keep intermediate players busy for a while. Both VBs stand out as the best Bart games yet because of the sheer variety of activities they offer. There's nothin' Krusty here!

Virtual Bart is not a horrible game, but it's not all that good either. If you find a copy laying around, play practice mode so you can mess with the tomato game for awhile, but almost anything else has little to no replay value. It's just what happens when you keep trying to suck a cash-cow dry. Heh, cow. Don’t have a cow! I now realize Bart was discussing childbirth. How odd.

Virtual Bart is a nice collection of action games that will keep you entertained for a bit, especially the tomato toss, but that interest wears thin. I never understood why the "virtual" theme was even needed, but it is the buzzword these days. Graphics are decent; sounds are okay, but it's just another Simpson's game. Nothing exciting here, folks. Take the safe route and rent this puppy to see if it's your cup of tea.

Very uninspiring and shoddily put together. A game that will attract nothing but cobwebs.

Although I like The Simpsons, I thought this game was a big disappointment. The graphics have an amateurish look to them and game control isn't very precise. The sound effects are ok, but the music darn near put me to sleep. So where the heck is the fun? If it weren't for the rare laugh, The Simpsons would make me cry. I just gotta say, in this case, reality bites.

Hey, why not an adaptation of the Simpson's Arcade Game? This one just plain misses the mark. The control is awful (like on the dinosaur stage), the stages unappealing and the whole thing seems rushed.

To be fair, every stage is almost completely different game, but play control is, well, lacking (the baby and biker sections were frustrating as hell) and the stages aren't even creative - I mean this is a 16-meg cart! Where did it all go?
