No fim das contas Warioland 4 se destaca não como um clone dos Marios 2D de outrora, mas como um tipo de jogo separado, mas igualmente satisfatório, que apresenta um grau de acabamento impecável.

Parmi la pléthore de jeux de plates-formes envahissant la GBA, celui-ci reste une des valeurs sûres et le fan se doit de ne pas ignorer cela. Un grand jeu comme Nintendo sait si bien les faire, et le digne successeur d'une série géniale qu'on ne souhaite pas voir s'arrêter là. S'il-vous-plaît encore, Monsieur Miyamoto!

The biggest change to the gameplay: Wario is vulnerable this time around. In his previous adventures, you could get this guy mauled, flattened, crunched, bonked, and whacked and he'd still be around for seconds, thirds, and fourths. This time around, an energy bar is in place -- Wario can still take his usual beating, but if he gets hurt once too much, he's thrust back out of the level and all of his earnings is lost. It's a lot more convenient than death, though, since there's no such thing as a "Game Over" screen in Wario Land 4. This element changes the way the game's played, since a bit more caution is necessary in grabbing all the needed items in each level.

When a pyramid containing exotic jewels is discovered in the desert, the insidious Wario embarks on a crusade to plunder the ruins for all its riches in Wario Land 4, the newest platform adventure starring Mario’s archenemy. Boasting fantastic graphics and awesome transparency effects for water and fog, Wario Land 4 pushes the GBA to its visual limits. The action is always challenging and intense, as you have to collect jewel pieces that will open the next level, ignite a bomb, and then escape through a psychedelic vortex before you’re caught in the explosion. The hazardous level designs don’t make it easy for you: Each level is imaginatively designed and packed with a variety of traps, enemies, secret passages, and deadly obstacles that will keep your thumbs and your brain reeling.

Somit hat sich unser Wario den Weg zur Spitze auf dem GBA erhüpft und wird diesen Platz wahrscheinlich noch lange halten können. Wario Land 4 ist ein absoluter Pflichtkauf für alle GBA Besitzer!

If you're looking for a quality 2D platformer for your Game Boy Advance, look no further than Wario Land 4. As Nintendo's first platforming game developed solely for the GBA, it shines in all the right places. The gameplay is tight and varied, the graphics are detailed and bright, and the sound is second to none. Wario Land 4 does have some confusing puzzles in its later stages that may be too difficult for younger players, but for everyone else, it comes highly recommended.

It’s nothing new to the Wario Land enthusiast, but it’s enjoyable nonetheless. If you want platforming on the go, you just can’t go wrong with Wario Land 4.

The platforming challenges scream Super Mario World, and a wealth of secrets reside in each stage. Side-scrolling platformers are a rare commodity these days, but Wario Land 4 fills this void nicely.

A fantastic platform game. Recommended to die-hard fans of the genre and those looking for some serious fun on the Game Boy Advance.

This might not be the longest game in the world, but it is certainly long enough, especially if you have to go through a level more than once to look for a stone piece that you missed. Add to that the fact that it is quite a fun game and the result here is a game that is well worth the time of any platformer fan. Since the game is quite old now, it can probably be acquired quite cheap if you look in the right place. I myself, when I bought it a few months ago, only paid $5 for it at a Gamestop. For that price, there is no legitimate reason why you shouldn't play this game.

För att man ska förstå att uppskatta Warioland 4 krävs det nog att man sedan tidigare är såld på plattformsspel. Min gissning är dessutom att Nintendo har förutsatt att köparna verkligen älskar deras bad guy, och bara tycker att det är kul när han blir stungen av bin och får ballongformade kinder eller plattas ihop av fallande stenblock så att man måste leta rätt på en maskin där problemet kan åtgärdas. Uppskattar man den sortens inslag tycker man säkert som jag att det här spelet är hysteriskt roligt. Andra kan nog finna det lite väl hurtigt.
