Description

This unofficial scenery disk for Microsoft Flight Simulator 5, created entirely from satellite-generated images, brings you the US capitol, Washington D.C. Soar over bridges and along the buildings of Washington D.C.

It includes an VFR area chart of the Washington region (scale 1:250.000). Start your flight from several airports including the Baltimore-Washington international airport, the Washington National, Dulles, and Andrews Air Force Base.

Screenshots

Washington D.C.: Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 5 DOS The Cessna taking off from Baltimore-Washington International airport using the default scenery. Again the boundaries between the various scenery types is quite marked
Washington D.C.: Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 5 DOS Reaching the edge of the area covered by the new scenery. The path of the river matches that of the default scenery which is good, it's just about ten times narrower
Washington D.C.: Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 5 DOS Just after take-off at Washington International airport. This is using the default scenery. Not how the airport ends suddenly and edges of the urban sprawl are sharply defined
Washington D.C.: Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 5 DOS The plane is not too far from the airfield and the limited area covered by this scenery add-on is apparent. Great in its day though
