Because of the disk scheme used in the Apple ][ version, you can effectively reset a quarter of the game world to its initial state, and return to collect duplicates of all the stuff you found there, re-complete missions contained entirely on that disk, etc.
Remember that in order to start a new game, you copy all 4 disk-sides to new disks and then boot off the first one. Well, if you re-copy the original of any disk except the one your character is currently on (for obvious reasons), you will completely reset the state of that entire part of the world. |
