User review spotlight: Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar (DOS)
The game's title screen. This is the shareware version so the title screen is followed by a couple of ordering screens before the game starts
One of the game's help screens, this one explains the tile matching process
A game has just begun. All tiles have been placed so now it's just a case of rotating some so that four corners of the same colour meet
The first four tiles have been removed. Compare with the previous screenshot to get see how rotating them produced four matching corners
The single shot in the left turret has been used. It will clear five tiles in a cross shape. It's getting to work in the upper left of the game area
When all squares are occupied and the game cannot place a new tile it's Game Over
This looks like there's a fault bit it is actually a good thing. It means the level has been cleared
Level two uses different tiles
