The Ice Climbers appear as a playable character in Super Smash Bros.: Melee (2001) and Super Smash Bros.: Brawl (2008).

Version differences

In the original Japanese version, one of Popo and Nana's main enemies was a seal. In the American version, the seal was replaced with a Yeti-like creature.

However, in the American version of Tetris DS for the Nintendo DS, the Ice Climber themed level shows the Eskimos once again fighting a seal in the animations while you play.
