DescriptionSisters Aya and Saki are back again in the long running Onechanbara franchise to stem the evil multitudes of zombies with their samurai swords, stern expressions and wanton sex appeal. Onechanbara Revolution, the first of the Onechanbara franchise on the Nintendo Wii, has Aya and Saki returning along with series regular Reiko along with a new character, Misery.
Like all the games in the series, Onechanbara Revolution is in the beat em' up genre and is similar in style to Dynasty Warriors and Devil May Cry. Consistent series game play elements include: correct timed attacks or "cool combos" that dish out maximum damage, sword fatigue that affects the timing and damage of character attacks, and a "rage meter" that transforms the player into a "devil state" where attack effectiveness is doubled.
ONechanbara Revolution is a separately developed game from Onechanbara vorteX, released on the Xbox 360 in 2006, and is not a port.

TriviaOneechanbara Revolution on the Wii has the distinct pleasure of clearly having better graphics than other current generation Oneechanbara games because it was developed most recently. Oneechanbara vorteX, released in 2006 in Japan and re-released 2009 in the United States, has substantially worse graphics than this game, even though it is for the Xbox 360, a platform many would consider superior to the "last generation" Nintendo Wii.
