Windows 3.x screenshots
The start of the game. Using the three slider controls around the main window the player must navigate to the puzzle in order to start.
Having navigated to the puzzle the player must click on the 'Start Puzzle' button to commence the game.
The puzzle starts with cell 1 preselected. This cell is not actually visible and none of the cells are numbered. The clues are displayed in the lower right window.
This is a better shot of the crossword. The cell selected is coloured red. It is not the start of a word so no clue is displayed.
This screen shot shows letters as they appear in the crossword.
Entering some words into the second crossword. The buttons at the bottom allow to turn the camera 180 degrees (about-face), or precisely control the camera position
You can change the color of the window
The "Real estate offer" window. For just 40 dollars you too can "own" a cube in this cyberspace.
You can store and retrieve data in your cube, too. Just 40 dollars to feel like you're in a cyberpunk future. What are you waiting for?
Apart from the crosswords, the virtual space contains a number of other items, for flavor. (Note that the window title is different when not solving a crossword.)
This part of the cyberspace is assigned to "Gregor". (Note the window title. It initially says "Cruiser", but approaching a crossword and then exiting changes it to the misspelled "Crusier".)
Want to look inside? Too bad, this cube belongs to someone else.
The region belonging to "Count Zero", who keeps a ball and a small cube on his property. You can't get into this region, either.
Two mysterious pyramids. How thrilling!
A tall white tower. It doesn't seem to do anything though.
A "blue AI", which is supposedly dangerous to approach. Of course I'm going to do just that.
...and, as soon as I got close to the blue sphere, I got "flatlined". This is game over.
