Logic Quest 3D Adventure

Windows 3.x version

One of the earliest 3D critical thinking games out there with issues.

The Good
First of all, I started an easy challenge from the courtyard. Every 3D graphic looks and feels great! I haven't tried the harder challenge yet, but things kept great from the early days of multimedia and 3D graphics. The intro was nicely hand-drawn animated, and by all means, the technique was also used in other educational games made by The Learning Company. The voices in the game were pretty clear to me. In the challenges, I also managed to open the doors with an orange-like ball touching a square panel. That was really fun when I played it.

The Bad
It's still unstable as of 2015, but I think it was tested on newer systems at the time of writing. Because this is a Y2K glitch, it may have some unexpected crashes along the way. The level editor still has some glitches, but still works sometimes. The one thing I encountered on occasion was an unknown error message that I saw when you added any character to the level. Primarily that did not work when I tried it on my computers I have.

The Bottom Line
Personally, I still have this game for testing. The one thing is, I do not recommend this if you have a new computer like I do! Trust me! This was an old game to me! For people running Windows 95 at the time of the release, you may have already remembered this, but for those with newer operating systems may need to do some workarounds and testing to fix all the glitches, but The Learning Company abandoned the project and there are game communities trying to make it work on newer operating systems.
