The game was named the Best Genesis Movie to Game Translation of the Year in GameFan's 1994 "Megawards" (Vol 3, Iss. 1)

In the SNES credits, you will see that in the Special Thanks there are people listed, "Joel, Mike, Tom, Crow, Gypsy, Frank and Clayton". Those are all character names from the TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000!
