3-D Ultra Minigolf

Once again, Sierra has creates another winner with 3D Ultra Minigolf. Judging from the quality and overall appeal of this game, I wouldn't be surprised to see other entertaining titles from this new series. Keep an eye out for the trio of 3D Ultra Pinball games at a store near you. Fore!

3-D Minigolf is een verrassend knappe golfsimulatie van Sierra. Al wie ooit lol heeft beleefd aan een spelletje minigolf in de regen zal zijn pret niet opkunnen aangezien deze pc adaptatie volgepropt zit met knappe geanimeerde decors zoals een maanbasis, een spookhuis of een prehistorisch tafereeltje.

If you like going to the minigolf course with a few friends then you have to get this game. Invite a few of your friends over, or gather up some family, turn on your computer, and get that mouse ready. This game is awesome and is tons of fun!

When stacked up to Sierra's other games in the 3-D Ultra series (especially the superb 3-D Ultra Pinball: Creep Night), 3-D Ultra Minigolf pales by comparison. While the earlier offerings in the series broke new ground by offering state-of-the-art graphics, incredibly diverse animations, and startlingly novel gameplay, this miniature golf game is simply extremely competent. If you love miniature golf or want to play an action game that has a really laid back and relaxed atmosphere, this one is for you, but otherwise you might well wait for the next in this promising series.

Viel ist es wirklich nicht, was 3-D Ultra MiniGolf bieten kann. Es ist halt nur ein Spiel für zwischendurch und kann deswegen gerade mal mit Minesweeper konkurrieren. Es kommt auch nur mit 18 Bahnen daher, was ich nicht als umfangreich bezeichnen möchte.

Mut zur (Markt-)Lücke: Ein spritziges PC-Minigolf hat uns eigentlich gerade noch gefehlt. Doch wer die abgedrehten Genialitäten des EA-Klassikers Zany Golf kennt, kann angesichts dieses Vakuums an Ideen nicht zufrieden sein. Wenn Sie über haarsträubende Blickwinkel und paradoxe Ballphysik gnädig hinwegsehen, können Sie 3D-Ultra Minigolf wegen seiner derzeitigen Alleinstellung gerade noch in Kauf nehmen.

If you're looking for a good family or party game, or are a particular fan of putt-putt/mini golf, then 3-D Ultra Minigolf may be for you. Even those who enjoy games with lots of humorous touches and class animation may not be disappointed, but for the rest of us there just isn't enough gameplay to provide more than a few days of fun.

It is a rite of passage for teenagers living on Chicago's north side and northern suburbs to go out on a date to Par-King Skill Golf in Morton Grove. There may be a better miniature golf course somewhere, but Par-King, with its Mount Rushmore, roller coaster, and Prudential Building complete with elevator, has packed them in for more than 30 years. Weekend evenings with two hour waits to tee-off may be long gone (it's down to about a half-hour now), but it's still the place for wholesome fun.
