The first thing you have to do is decide if you want to start a new game, or load a previously saved game, you can also quit from the main menu, if you want to do that.

DAY ONE

Try to open the door (you can't). Try to re-open the window (you can't). Try to open the door, again (this time it will open), and you'll automatically exit into the hallway. Go downstairs. Get the newspaper, and read it. Open the door on the right side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the living room. Open the door on the right side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the TV room. Take the VCR's extension cord (it's to the left of the VCR, under the TV). Open the door on the right side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit in to the trophy room. You'll automatically talking to Phil Harty. Once you're done talking go W-W-W-Upstairs-E, there you'll see Simone trying to open a door. Talk to her. Go E-downstairs. Open the door on the left side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the dining room. Open the door on the left side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the kitchen. Open the door on the left side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the garden. Pick up the twig. Push the tree. Talk to the tree. Go W-E-E-E. Once they stop talking, talk to all three, until you finish all dialogue possibilities with each. Once everybody's done talking, they all leave for bed and you sleep on the couch.

DAY TWO

Read the article Phil gave you. Go W-W. Talk to Jim, about everything. Go E-NW-E. Look at the swimming pool. Continue E, look at the pipe. Walk E again (to the next screen). Talk to Phil, about everything. Go W-W-WW-E-E-upstairs. Look at the door right behind the stairs on the left. Open it, and you'll automatically exit into the library. Simone is in there, talk to her about everything. Take the yellow book on the left side, on the second shelf from the top. Look at the map you got from it. Take the light blue book on the bottom row of the shelf on the right side of the left shelf. Read the book you took. Go W-downstairs-W-W-NW-E-E-E. Give the map to Phil, and he'll give you his metal detector. Go W. Use the metal detector on the pipeline. Use the pile of dirt that the metal detector leads you to, to uncover a button. Press the button. Go W. Use the ladder to go down into the pool, you find out what happened to AJ, have another house meeting, and then go to bed.

DAY THREE

Go W-W. Talk to Phil about everything. Go W-NW. Open your car, and you automatically take your lockpicks. Use the lockpicks on the tool shed. Enter the tool shed. Take the saw. Take the axe. Go W-E-E-upstairs. Use the lockpicks on the door to the right of the stairs. Use the lockpicks on the door to the right of the one you just tried. Open the door, and you'll automatically exit into Sir Roderick’s bed room. Open the wardrobe. Take the greenbook. Read the book. Look at the scratches under the window. Open the window. Climb out of the window. Go back in. Go W. Go W, to the library. Talk to Jim about everything, Jim will agree to help you (he will now follow you). Go W-downstairs-W-W-NW. Use the saw on the tree. Go W-E-E-upstairs-E-enter Sir Roderick’s bedroom. Climb out of the window, you will automatically tell Jim to wait for you in the library. Use your grolly on the loose tile, and you will automatically swing to the other window. Open the window, and you will automatically enter Matthew DeFoe's bedroom. Get the teddy bear. Open the nightstand, and take the book. Read the book. Open the door on the left side of the screen, and you'll automatically exit into the hallway. Enter the next door to the left (the library). Take one of the black books from the second row of the far right shelf. Use the teddy bear with the extension cord, and use that on the stick. Go downstairs-W-W. Open the cabinet to the left of the stove. Dip your teddy bear contraption into the salt. Go E-E-upstairs-enter the first door on the right of the stairs (Matthew DeFoe's bedroom) Use the teddy-bear with the bed, then look at it. Go W-downstairs-W-W. Use the axe on the wall. Enter the hole, you will be in the cellar. Use the teddy-bear contraption, and walk around until it points straight down. Look at the floor (it will be called "area") "use" the 'area" (you will find Matthew's body and Sir Roderick's body) Go W-E-E-E-NE-E. Look at the smashed bell jar. Use the idol

DAY FOUR

You will come to in the tool shed. open the door (it's locked). Talk to Simone, choose these dialogue options: 5-2-3-2 Get your tie, you will automatically take the emergency lockpick. Use the lockpick on the door Use the door, and you will automatically exit. W-W-E-E-upstairs-E-go into the bathroom. When the masked killer enters, you have to act quickly. Wait until he is on the rug, once there, pull the rug out from under him.

DAY FIVE

You and Simone have just exited Matthew DeFoe's room, and are talking about the ghost. Talk to Simone any way you want, you will get the full story with any choices that you make. Enter Matthew DeFoe's bedroom, and talk to Jim about everything. He will give you a leather apron, machete, and a welding mask. Exit Matthew DeFoe's bedroom, and enter the library to the right of it. Take one of the black books from the second shelf of the right side of the right-hand bookcase on the. Read the book. Go W-downstairs-E. Talk to Simone about everything. Get the scissors from the dresser. Use the scissors on the apron. Use the strip of leather (that you just cut) with the welding mask. Use that with the machete. Go W-W-W use the welding mask contraption with the salt. Go W. Use the welding mask contraption with the chains. Go W-E-E-upstairs-E-E. Use the welding mask contraption, and walk around until it points straight down. Look at the floor (it will be called "tiles") Use the scissors to cut the welding mask contraption. Use the machete on the "tiles" Pick up the remains of Sir Roderick's second son. Go E-W-downstairs-E-NE-E. Use the remains with the floor in front of the fire. Use either the apron, mask, or machete with the remains (it doesn't matter which, all three will be used). Go W-W. Talk to Simone (choice #6). Go W-upstairs-E-Enter Matthew Defoe's bedroom. Talk to Jim (choice #3). Go W-downstairs-E-NE-E. Give the teddy bear to Jim. Get the rifle (from above the fireplace). Give the Rifle to Simone. Use the black magic book on yourself. The end game will now start.
