Description
Adventure world full of 3D photo-realistic graphics, and from time to time, actors. A mystical music and atmosphere, detailed graphics and 1st person adventure, that now combines both stories in one box. Just to uncover what lies hidden, beside
Myst and
Riven, there's also
The Making of Riven included and a journal to chart your adventures.
Myst: you, as a man of book, opened some novel called Myst, letting yourself flow with the story. Unfortunately, that's exact thing that happens to you, as book unfolds its secret of teleporting you to the small island called Myst.
Starting by the docks, you head over to the library to find out more about where you are, and how to go back home. As you find out that's a rather lustful wish, you keep trying to find literally anything that might be of some use. So, other books are to be found, as a passages to other mystical islands, from which every island keeps hidden book of Myst as a way back to Myst.
As you wander around, you'll find two brothers imprisoned in a book, that serves as a prison cell from their point of view, but do not trust them, or you'll become imprisoned yourself. As the story ends, you'll meet their father, that will ask you for possible help in the future.
Riven: Thus, the story of Riven begins to unfold its bars. The man asks you for helping find and rescue his wife (you found that in Myst game already - which is why you could feel incoming of a sequel) from the unstable and dangerous, but naturally beautiful Riven island.
With much more graphic quality, higher animation level, and better acting (you now actually get to see more people then on Myst island), this game raises up to five compact discs (CD) and gives you story continuation, a sequel, and uncovers newer technology.
