The manual states that in the game, the mercenary who pilots the war machine, controlled by the player, is named Gert Staun. Since the premise of the game is to make money by wrongly restarting a war that should be over, it could be that the man's name is intended to suggest an evil person with a heart of stone (a homophone), as it were, and no morals.
