Podsumowując. Za 79 PLN otrzymujemy grę, która uprzyjemni nam długie, zimowe wieczory. Doskonała szata graficzna, wspaniała muzyka, ciekawa fabuła i zróżnicowane scenerie to tylko nieliczne jej zalety. Jeśli więc zastanawiasz się nad prezentem dla swojego dziecka, bądź najzwyczajniej w świecie nie masz w co grać, Orientalne Noce będą doskonałym wyborem.

Mit Arabian Nights ist Wanadoo sicherlich nicht unbedingt DER Meisterhit gelungen, aber wenn man noch sich einmal alles anschaut, ist es doch ein recht solides Spiel, welches nur einen grossen Nachteil besitzt. Es ist einfach zu unbekannt. So kann man nur hoffen, dass es nicht in der grossen Welt der PC-Spiele untergehen wird, denn das hat es auf keinen Fall verdient. Wer also einmal eine Pause von der Tomb Raider Reihe haben muss, der ist mit Arabian Nights für Monate bedient. Auch Nicht-Fans von Action Adventures, sollten sich das Spiel ruhig einmal anschauen. Es lohnt sich.

Arabian Nights is een aardig spel, maar zeker weten geen 50 euro waard. Hiervoor bevat de game te weinig verrassingen. Bovendien vergalt de knullige bediening een groot deel van het spelplezier. Leuk als budgettitel, maar daarvoor moet je waarschijnlijk nog een paar maanden wachten.

So how does Arabian Nights rate against the countless other action games on the market? Clearly designed closely to Prince of Persia 3D, the gameplay does not offer as much depth, plus the action controls are not as streamlined. While it's not a badly done game, when compared to the myriad of choices available for action aficionados it's hard to give it much of a recommendation.

Given the engrossing story of the 1001 Nights and the exquisite setting in which these tales took place, this offering begins with the cards heavily stacked in its favor. Indeed, Arabian Nights certainly replicates well the sounds and sights of the ancient Middle East, and the production values are quite high. However, it is extremely challenging for any developer to find the perfect blend of action and adventure in any release claiming to combine both elements, and the balance here seems a bit skewed. If you like relaxing adventure-puzzle offerings, where you use your mental capacities to overcome obstacles, then this game is definitely not for you. If, the other hand, you are a fan of fast-paced 3D action games, then you may not be able to resist the timeless allure of Arabian Nights.

Genau wie "Prince of Persia 3D" kommt "Arabian Nights" nicht an "Prince of Persia", den Urvater dieser Spielegattung, heran.

Arabian Nights n'a pour lui que son mode de distribution original : le jeu souffre de trop graves lacunes pour être intéressant. La maniabilité est exécrable, notamment pour les combats, le moteur 3D est poussif et saccade même sur une configuration standard avec tous les détails au minimum. Les niveaux sont en plus très décevants, obligeant le joueur à tourner en rond. Arabian Nights souffre d'une mauvaise finition et de défauts trop graves pour que le joueur soit tenté de continuer l'aventure, passé le premier niveau gratuit.

Final consensus: If you are very patient, have a knack for action-oriented puzzles, and are not opposed to lots of fighting, then Arabian Nights will be a treat for you and other adventure gamers who have always wanted to explore every corner of the gaming world. Otherwise it is merely an average action game with only a hint of a plot.

Töchter des Sultans sind verschwunden, ausgerechnet einen Tag vor der Hochzeit der ältesten. Sie schlüpfen in die Rolle des Helden Ali, der die Grazien nicht nur retten, sondern laut Spielbeschreibung auch verführen soll. Klingt spannend, ist es aber nicht.

Grafisch erinnert das Spiel an eine schlechte Kopie von Prince of Persia 3D mit üblen Clippingfehlern. Den Helden steuern Sie genau wie Lara in der Tomb Raider-Perspektive per Tastatur. Besonders bei den häufigen Schwertkämpfen bleibt der Sindbad-Verschnitt gerne an Kanten hängen und ist dann Gegnern hilflos ausgeliefert. Rätsel beschränken sich auf Schalterpuzzles der schnarchigen Art. Am Ende jeder Episode müssen Sie noch eine schlechte Videosequenz ertragen.

Arabian Nights zerstört durch die extremen Grafikfehler, die dünne Atmosphäre und sehr spärlichen Sound wirklich jeden Anflug von Spielspaß zuverlässig und schnell wie Salzsäure ein Stück Weichplastik. Ohne diese Bugs wäre Arabian Nights immerhin noch etwas für wirkliche Action-Adventure-Fans, aber in der aktuellen Form kann ich jedem nur abraten dieses Spiel zu kaufen!
