A middle class 3D strategy game. A simple statement for a simple title. Graphically, this is one of the best. Your 3D accelerator gets to stretch its copper microwires on this one, and your eyes won’t be disappointed. The interface is passable with a few notable bug-prone exceptions and a confusing click system. The gameplay is extremely well founded, but seems a bit canned at times, as if nothing really matters. As I mentioned, I believe this is a game for 3D strategy junkies, who will find it quite entertaining. But for more stinting players of multiple genres, this one will fail in that the level of immersion is not sufficient to justify the mentally hectic tasks of 3D combat and strategic management. That, my friends, will be the test of this genre. Is the rush worth the frenetic multi-tasking? For the extremists, yes. For other players, I have my doubts.
