All Games Rap Sheet

View Mode: threaded | watch thread I never got around to playing this since I'm not a big fan of subscription fees for something I already paid for, but anyway, this game sounded really different and neat. Now that it's shut-down, what can people do? Just drive around in an empty world? I bought Guild Wars and somewhat enjoyed it for a few days but I liked that it was free servers, why didn't they just do that when the game started to bomb? Shouldn't they have that as a back-up plan for these MMORPGs?
A peek into a moby user's blog revealed that work was underway on fan servers going up for old Sierra Network games, allowing these things to be played again multiplayer for the first time in a decade. That excites me, but not as much as the prospect of getting a chance to play Habitat. (And howabout the original Neverwinter Nights?)
(Edited by Sam Jeffreys Re: What happens when a game is shut down? Sam Jeffreys That's pretty sad. Auto Assault was only 'alive' for just over a year!I don't play MMOGs because: 1. They'd eat up too much of my time and 2. I don't want to buy something that runs the risk of being 'dead' in a couple of years' time. Or less, in the case of this game! | ||||
