I've actually played more than a few 1997 and before games on Vista - sometimes it's just a matter of setting compatibility modes for the correct Setup. Uh, I wouldn't be worrying about Kapersky, and you don't need to format your disk, most likely.

Edit - Uh, I wouldn't be worrying about Kapersky: well no more than anyone else who may have downloaded the game from some suspect site, anyway ;)
