Frustrating Up-Hill Journey

The Good
Once you settle into the basic mechanics of the game, it can get fun. It's neat to set up an anchor system, and then see on the screen how it's setup. The rope system is actually pretty nice looking, and you can watch it pick up slack, pull taut, and slide through the anchors. Because of the tough nature of the game, it is pretty satisfying once you get to the top of the mountain. Unfortunately, you may often be too fed up with the game to make it that far.

The Bad
The actors in the game are particularly irritating. The "positive reinforcement" they give you on the way up the cliff are enough to make you unplug your speakers. The other annoying part of the game is actually getting up the mountain. It's actually very difficult to climb some of the faces successfully, and it can often involve taking anchors out and moving down to start over.

The Bottom Line
Difficult yet satisfying way of experiencing rock climbing.
