Description

Bomb Golf is a shareware golf game which is played with a bomb instead of a ball.

There are four different modes of play.
  • Bomb Golf: This is for one to four players. In this game each player has six strokes to complete each hole. If the player fails to do this then the bomb explodes and a one stroke penalty is added to their score.
Each player must complete the hole before the next player can begin
  • Par or Die: This is a single player game in which the player must sink the ball/bomb in a specified number of strokes, i.e. par or less. Failure results in the end of the game and the player must restart from the first hole. A save feature is available in this game mode.
  • Time Bomb: Is also a single player game and is similar to 'Par Or Die'. The difference being that the hole must be completed within a fixed time limit rather than a fixed number of strokes. This game mode also has a save feature.
  • Strategy: This is a game for two to four players. In this mode players take turns and each bomb can affect the others.
The game has music and a high score feature. It is keyboard controlled, the arrow keys cause the character to rotate around the ball allowing the player to aim their shot while the space bar is used to determine the strength of the shot.

The original release of the game had ten tunes and four different courses each of nine holes making thirty six in total, however just six holes and three tunes were included in the shareware release. In 2013 the game is still available from Pellenc Software and the current version has forty five holes.
