Braid is a very clever puzzle platformer, with a number of ingenious puzzles that challenge you to approach a problem in an unusual way because of the unique way the game relates to time. It is a short game, but with enough variety that each level serves to illustrate a different concept or challenge.

However, like a good book, Braid is something to be experienced over and over again. While the puzzles in Braid are real brain-teasers, do not let that get in the way of at least downloading the demo to see for yourself. This game is important for every every genre of game, from the story of its one-man development to the axioms we take for granted in gaming being turned on their ear. Braid is a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and is guaranteed to be seen on “Top 10 PC game” lists this year.

Despite some minor shortfalls, Braid is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of indie gaming available and deserving of the acclaim it’s received from the 360 community. We’re just glad it’s come home to its native format.

In an age when many games feel like clones of one another or are designed to be easy to beat, Braid sticks to its guns and delivers a rewarding and memorable experience that's definitely worth checking out. It's like an invigorating breath of fresh air, and proof that a handful of independent developers can create games that raise the bar for others.
