f you are looking for an excellent game/business simulation (with more stress on the business element), Capitalism Plus may be just what you’re looking for. Cap Plus has a great interface, good sound FX, and good gameplay (albeit business-intensive). Not everyone will enjoy this business simulation — Capitalism Plus definitely caters to a niche market. I just don’t happen to fit into that particular niche. Your results may vary.

As a serious simulation, this product is the very best on the market, incorporating everything one could possibly ask for in a dynamic model of national and international business. As a game, this product is a rather dismal failure, with no ingredients that add either fun or whimsy to the game in the manner the Godzilla option provided when Maxis first released SimCity. A business expert could enjoy playing this simulation to explore what kinds or arbitrary assumptions and omissions were present, while a novice could use this product to try to gain a preliminary understanding of how to succeed in business without ever going to business school. But computer game lovers -- probably the majority of those reading this review -- will frankly be bored to tears.

Die Produktpolitik von Interactive Magic gefällt mir jedoch überhaupt nicht. Diese Frage darf wieder einmal aufgeworfen werden: Rechtfertigen geringfügige Verbesserungen ein Vollpreisprodukt? Am Spielprinzip hat sich schließlich nichts geändert, und ein Neuling wird auch mit dem Original (schon für 30 Mark in Fachgeschäften zu finden) bestens bedient sein. Capitalism-Veteranen empfehle ich eher, sich nach einer anderen, wirklich neuen Herausforderung umzusehen.
