Chains is a puzzle game where the player has to solve different challenges by linking adjacent bubbles of the same colour into chains. The game relies on a realistic physics engine. When a bubble is removed from the playfield the surrounding bubbles will move in an appropriate way.

The game features 20 levels each with its own objective. Depending on the objective each level will require different skills from the player. Some levels are action based while other are more puzzle like. For example more strategic levels involve linking an exact amount of bubbles, while an action level might be more about removing bubbles as quickly as possible. After completing a level's objective the player can choose to move on to the next or continue playing.

The game has a vector graphics style and features music from the Belgian band Silence. The game also features a colourblind option which turns the otherwise colourful background into grey.

Chains Windows The flow is more action based. Do not let the bubbles clog the flow.
Chains Windows In this one I'm only allowed to lose 100 bubbles in total. Therefore the player has to minimize the amount which is lost each time the gate opens.
Chains Windows Playing with the colorblind option turned on.
Chains Windows The second level is a bit trickier, since too much weight will cause the gate to open.
