This adventure game is an investigative murder mystery set on Dead Reefs, a remote island in the North Atlantic ocean surrounded by perilous rocks. This island was once inhabited by pirates who lured passing ships into the hazardous reefs to slaughter the crews and steal their precious cargo. As time went on, the pirates stopped their plundering and became law abiding members of the island settlement.

Stories of the pirates turned into legend, especially when strange murders began to happen every nine years, causing the citizens to believe that the island was under the spell of an evil curse. Amadey Finvinerro, a detective from the mainland, is brought over to investigate the latest murder and those before it.

Mysteries abound in this desolate place including dark family secrets, a haunted mansion and strange supernatural occurrences. Amadey must talk with all of the island's citizens, dig into old island history, pick up inventory items and solve puzzles.

The game is played in 3rd-person perspective with some 1st-person scenes. Control is handled completely by keyboard.
