Deathmatch Classic

Description

Deathmatch Classic is a pure multiplayer game, designed as a tribute to id Software and the multiplayer gameplay in its older games. While very similar to multiplayer Quake, some elements of the game are borrowed from Half-Life, such as player models and the melee weapon.

The game was originally developed as a mod for Half-Life, and continues to use the GoldSrc engine. The idea behind DMC was to allow Half-Life players to play deathmatch games in the style of Quake and Quake II, but with the enhancements of the GoldSrc engine.
