In conclusion, Dink Smallwood is a classic game of the freeware industry. For as long as I remember I’ve liked this game. Many years ago it was one of the first free games I tried, and it left its mark. Dink Smallwood may be crude, rude and overall lewd, but it is by no means small in memory or action. Give it a try, most of you won’t regret it.

Every now and then, there comes along a game so epic, so groundbreaking, so gosh-darn revolutionary that it is lauded by reviewers and gamers for years. Dink Smallwood… is not one of them, but it IS a hilarious action/RPG with tons of replay value. And what's more, it's free! Yes, that's right, folks, Dink Smallwood, a game once sold in stores, is now available for download as freeware off of RTSoft's website, and that is only the first of many reasons I laud this game.

Abandonia Reloaded
Here is Dink Smallwood, a very good Roleplaying/Adventure game. It was made by RTSoft in 1999. It has good graphics and the sound doesn't strike any odd notes either. Another positive thing is that your adventures will be often filled with humor.

Unless you haven't put two and two together, I'm not only saying you should grab this title, you should rush to www.rtsoft.com as soon as possible and place an order. The best part of this entire game has to be the value, because it offers a lot of fun for something that only sets you back twenty American dollars. So instead of going out to see the newest movie, or buying groceries, do something sensible and pick up a copy of Dink.

Hrej!

I like Dink's combination of graphics adventure and real-time combat. Its visuals are dated but attractive, and its humor is infectious.

Adventure and humor have generally been a good pair in the past, and Dink Smallwood got the combination right. While I felt it wasn't polished (the map layout sometimes bounced Dink between screens because an object would be in the way, and there were some rare points where I would lose control of Dink entirely), the game engine and its provided editor were complex, powerful, and can provide hours of enjoyment. If you liked games like "The Legend of Zelda" or "Secret of Evermore" then I suggest checking out this game.

I tro ånd trenger enhver eventyrer godt utstyr. Her kommer nesten ingenting gratis.

This is really the purpose of a computer game -- to entertain. Somewhere along the way, we got addicted to virtual environment one-upping and started demanding ludicrous technology from everything, which sort of stepped on the necks of the little guy. Dink Smallwood is worth buying, most especially at the asking price. It's a grin-provoking RPG/adventure, with self-satirical humor and a lot of nostalgic charm. What it lacks in industry-leading graphics and sound, it makes up for with classic gameplay and consistent laughter. Enjoy, my friends. You won't see many games like this in the future, so soak it up while you can.

Graphically, Dink is nothing to write home about, and it's no great shakes in terms of gameplay, either. I challenge anyone to play Dink for more than a few hours without getting completely bored. Worse still are the many graphical glitches you'll come across. At one point I got completely stuck in the landscape for no apparent reason. Dink's one saving grace is its humour, which can often be entertaining, although not entertaining enough to make you want to put up with the game's many problems. Avoid.
