Atari Australia Press Quotes - Windows:
"It seems to be a good compromise between a strategy empire building game and a tactical fantasy roleplaying game with some of the best elements of both genres. It is fun to play a turnbased fantasy strategy game again and it is somewhat reminiscent of Heroes of Might and Magic as well as a host of fantasy roleplaying games from the past and present (like Myth3). " Wargamer.com

"Showcasing new graphics, supporting 800 x 600 16-bit resolution, over 200 engaging characters will come to life in an epic battle of sword and sorcery. With enhanced gameplay mechanics, improved AI, and an upgraded battle system, Disciples II: Dark Prophecy promises to provide the answer to the ultimate question - Who among them will survive" - Gamezone.com

"I would strongly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys campaign style strategy games and venture to suggest that fans of other styles might also be pleasantly surprised with it." - Gamezilla.com

"The most obvious improvement that Disciples II will have over the previous game is its graphics. While the first game was locked at 640x480 resolution, the sequel will run at 800x600. The improved resolution makes just about every part of the game look better--its overland maps, its interface screens, its battles, and especially its character portraits."

"Disciples II's combat units look substantially better in the sequel, and several of the larger units, like the pegasus knight and the gargoyle, look suitably intimidating on the battlefield. " - Gamespot.com

"As addictive as strategy gaming gets; new units; new spells, better combat options, and maps are more active with neutral units and triggered events." - GameSpy

"As cliched as it sounds, I played until my mouse wrist was so sore that I could barely butter bread, let alone type up this review without the aid of an icepack. You might want to exercise a little more moderation. But believe us, the biggest challenge here isn't the fiery Legions of the Damned, or even the shambling Undead Hordes - it's forcing yourself to take a break. " - GamesDomain

“Fantastic fantasy gaming!” “You’ll be playing this so much that before too long you will look like the undead as well. “ - 86% Hyper Magazine
