PC Jeux
PC Player (Denmark)
Computer Gaming World (CGW)
The unpredictability of playing another human makes DRAGON DICE a better game, though it's still much more shallow than other multiplayer strategy fare. Eventual add-ons might provide more variety, but I have my doubts. DRAGON DICE is best left to beginners or gamers who want a quick and easy strategy fix.
Adrenaline Vault, The (AVault)
In my opinion, this game will appeal to a small subset of strategy gamers. Specifically, those who played the board game and liked it and want to play it against friends while letting the computer do all of the calculating and figuring. The rest of the strategy gamers should, in the immortal words of the NYPD, “move along…nothing to see here.” This game is essentially a dice game that was translated into a computer game with no real benefit, other than confusing the hell out of those of us who never played the original. You are probably better off looking elsewhere for a worthwhile venture, unless you are a player and lover of the original version, in which case you might get some enjoyment out of this.
Computer Games Magazine
There's nothing inherently wrong with Dragon Dice. It just doesn't warrant such a full blown treatment, or a full blown price ($54.95 street). And rolling virtual dice just isn't as appealing as rolling the real thing. In much the same way that card games often don't translate well, once you take away the social and textural pleasures of Dragon Dice, what's left just isn't that engaging.
