Game Mile
It's such a pleasure to get a game of this caliber brought out by the "Kings" of gaming, and here it is - Drawn: The Painted Tower - the newest adventure from Big Fish Games Studios, a game with whimsical story line with enough challenge to keep you interested and not so easy as to bore you! It reminds MCF or Dream Chronicles series or even the more recent Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse, but still it's something unique making you enjoy every hour of it!

Just Adventure
As an Adventure Game, I would subtract marks for the short length, lack of dialogue and a thin plot that has an unsatisfying, abrupt ending. Unfortunately, the game might not present quite enough challenge in the puzzle department for a full-blown adventure game, due to the assistance given in the game. However, the game obviously has high production values and a lot of positive qualities, and I would therefore prefer to withhold grading it as an adventure game, although I would certainly encourage adventure gamers to try the game out, depending on what you are looking for in a game. If what you are looking for is artistry and sheer beauty in presentation, then this little gem is for you.

Drawn may not be the toughest adventure-oriented game out there, but it's absolutely loaded with style and personality. This goes a long way. The magical world it pulls you into is strangely compelling, and you won't want to leave until you've fully explored every inch of the tower and helped Iris escape.

Casual Explosion
It's pretty amazing that games like Drawn: The Painted Tower are being sold for just $6.99 these days. This is one of the most beautiful casual games you're likely to see this year. The tower rooms and stairs and bridges and chipped walls are all stunning. The narrator's voice overs were sometimes a bit unclear (maybe because of his accent) but since they're all subtitled I found it easy to read along. I'm the last person who should point fingers, since every game I've ever narrated sounds like a cat coughing up a shoelace.

Enchanteur, addictif, captivant.

HonestGamers
Ultimately, Drawn: The Painted Tower is a unique game that features a mixture of brilliant and annoying moments. The end result could have been something great, but instead it settles for "good." For people who haven't played an adventure game before, the title could serve as a decent starting point and a solid representation of its genre. Casual gamers will at least appreciate the accessibility, but unfortunately there's not much on offer for the more hardcore adventure fan.

Adventure Gamers
As brief and streamlined as you’d expect of a casual game, what Drawn: The Painted Tower lacks in substance, it overcomes with its fascinating atmosphere and splendid production values that make for some nice, gentle adventuring.

Adventure Classic Gaming
Despite these relatively minor flaws, however, Drawn: The Painted Tower is a truly beautiful game. The graphics and music are remarkable, and as minimal as the plot is, there is still enough of it to keep any player interested in it. Though expert gamers may easily finish this game in under an hour, it is still worth playing for both novice and seasoned adventure fans. The game's ending is rather ambiguous, but with the journey to it being as memorable as it is, it is unlikely that any gamer will be disappointed by this wonderful little game.

Resolution Magazine
For most games, being only a few hours long would be a serious blow. But at under $7, it could be a no-brainer for certain audiences. While Drawn is unlikely to leave a lasting impact on the genre’s landscape, it does make an immediate impact on the player, with a world that inspires despite the predictable mechanics contained within it. Considering the mega-budget price, it’s certainly worth a look.
