    Redguard Goes Gold
The next Bethesda RPG to hit stores November 16th.

November 4, 1998 - Bethesda Softworks said today that the Elder Scrolls: Redguard has gone gold and would hit retail stores during the week of November 16th.

The game is more of an action/adventure game than previous games in the series, such as Daggerfall, which were roleplaying games.

"Redguard turned out even better than I could have ever imagined, even way back when we were first designing the game," said Todd Howard, project leader of Redguard. "We had a fantastic team working on the game and we were committed to refining and polishing it. And now it's finally done!"

The game's plot involves the main character's search for his missing sister in the world of Tamriel, a place plagued by pirates. A free Redguard comic book will be included with every copy of the game.
