Absolute Games (AG.ru) (Feb 05, 2002)

I had a good amount of fun during my brief venture into vampiredom. Erevos is certainly not without its niggles, but I feel that the developers have done a decent job creating a dark game for the inner vampire in all of us. If it wasn't for the shortness, the funky save/load system, and the shallow characters, I would have scored Erevos higher. If a little depravity is what you're in the mood for this upcoming Halloween, you might want to check Erevos out.

Just Adventure (Oct 28, 2003)
Obviously I like vampires and adventure games. It suffers from a significant problem in the form of inability to save the game. Other problems I noted are minor and I could have overlooked them comfortably. This amalgam of adventure and gothic horror though may not be to your taste. At the conclusion of this game I have a bad taste in my mouth because of the grisly ideas and dialog in the total absence of the romanticism of the vampire legend. Undoubtedly, those with lower expectations may relate to even enjoy being a cold blooded killer. I came away from the game wishing for more humanity. Perhaps this is not a good expectation when playing a vampire…

Quandary (Nov, 2004)
The puzzles are not terribly difficult. They are contained to the chapter, and generally involve finding and using items in the correct way. Some involve some lateral thinking, including transformation to get past obstacles; bats can get where Eric cannot. A few involve deciphering codes and the like, but the relevant information is close at hand. You can choose to play as Eric or Giannos, but only in one chapter is there any difference. The end leaves a bit to be desired. It doesn't really go anywhere, or come from what went before. Perhaps I missed the point. And the characterisation, in fact the story as a whole, is a bit flat and one-dimensional.

7Wolf Magazine (Jan 15, 2002)
