E.T. Interplanetary Mission is brought to us by Ubi Soft under the pretence of being an ‘action’-game. Action-gaming for 6 year olds, what are we to expect? Well, I wasn’t disappointed at all, on the contrary! It reminded me of those long-lost days of spending hours and hours -not to mention loads of pocket money- playing arcade games. The developers have succeeded in creating a captivating game that’s quite addictive. I mean, you want to get to the big boss at the end of the level to show him how serious you just are, don’t you? E.T. Interplanetary mission is a very good ‘stepping-stone’ towards more complex action games. It teaches kids how to reason when playing and it teaches them some pretty complex movements and manoeuvres.
ET Interplanetary Mission is recommended for those who love the sweet alien, and who wish to play a relatively easy but enjoyable action game. It's recommended for kids, though since ET has to dispatch creatures, be aware that they are learning about killing as they play the game. There is no blood or gore, so it seems rather harmless, but parents should make sure their kids are ready for the challenge.
Interplanetary Mission is an easy-to-play adventure filled with colorful and menacing (though not particularly scary) creatures, and should captivate youngsters as did the movie two decades ago. The feel of exploring strange planets comes through nicely, and controlling a sentient creature who has more to offer than the standard mindless cartoon character will no doubt enchant and fascinate kids. With the "wonder" factor of what's around the next corner prevalent during gameplay, children will likely keep playing this one until the end -- definitely the sign of a successful title.
There is not anything I can put my finger on that makes this game stand out from so many others like it that are on the market today other than E. T. being the star character. I do think younger children (ages 6 to 10 or 12) will find it more enjoyable than an older age group would. The graphics and soundtrack do affect the overall rating, giving it an above average score.
At $9.99, this is a great gaming alternative that works on a modest system and with so few games out there for kids these days, E.T. Interplanetary Mission is a refreshing action/adventure game for younger kids who probably aren’t ready for games like Diablo or Dungeon Siege. Parents will enjoy playing this alongside their kids and reliving the magic and adventure they experienced more than twenty years ago.
Повесть о хладнокровном маньяке, способном во имя страсти к гербариям загубить чуть ли не весь животный мир несчастной планеты. И это — детям?
