Description

Fighting Force is a fighting "beat-em-up" which takes place in an interactive city where you can pick up several objects (like trash cans and car tires) and throw them at your enemies which appear on scripted moments.

Though the game advertised very interactive places, they all ended up in rectangular arenas because of an invisible wall which surrounded them. There was no way to walk around freely.

Alternate Titles

  • "Metal Fist" -- Japanese PlayStation title
  • "Judgement Force" -- Saturn Working Title (unreleased)
  • "Fighting Force 64" -- Nintendo 64 title
  • "メタルフィスト" -- Japanese spelling

Trivia

Fighting Force was one of the first games to need a 3d acceleration card, which though weren't really popular yet back then. (Some months later everyone had such a card though)
