Electric Playground (Nov 22, 1996)
Freddi Fish is funtabulous! The folks at Humongous Entertainment certainly know their stuff. I would love to meet the people who created such an engagingly silly universe. The action never stops. Almost everything is clickable and results in a wacky animation of some sort. This constant parade of animations and cute characters arising from the gamer's mouse clicks ensures that this game will be entertaining even for very young children. The age on the box says 3 to 8, but I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed this game despite being over that particular hill. Perhaps it's my youthful inner child.
After a short opening movie, the second adventure of Freddi Fish starts. This time Freddi and her friend Luther go to school. But - and altogether very fortunately, it's not going to be the usual teaching routine. A ghost has broken into the school and has stolen all the toys from the Guppies. During the adventure Freddi and Luther must find different objects that will enable them to build a trap to catch the ghost. Eventually they must bring back all of the stolen toys to their owners. Some of the known characters that were already present in the first Freddi Fish such as Eddie the Eel, Ray the Manta and the sharks Boss and Spongehead, are back again in the new episode.
Quandary (Sep, 1997)
Not only is this one an entertaining game, but also it demands to be replayed over and over as some of the quest items are randomly placed and some of the essential pieces of the trap device will change from game to game thus presenting different problems to solve. But I imagine that young players would delight in returning to it even without this built-in replayability.
