Gamer's Pulse (Aug 20, 2000)
The real test of any game aimed at children is to see if they will want to play it. With that in mind, I invited my cousin over and let her give Freddi a whirl. She found the game’s graphics and sounds to be captivating, and seemed to enjoy it, laughing at the jokes and little animations thoughtfully included by Humongous. In fact, for the rest of the day, she was walking around saying, “I’m huge. I’m strong,” in a silly voice, which she heard a cactus say after clicking on it in one of the early game screens. From what I could tell, this game will definitely grab your child’s attention, and it will teach them a wide assortment of skills at the same time. Freddi Fish 4 comes highly recommended.
Another exciting adventure from Humongous, Freddi Fish 4 delivers a fun underwater Wild West theme, a colorful cast of characters, and plenty of problem-solving fun for kids aged 3-8.
Quandary (Apr, 1999)
Freddie fish has maintained her reputation in this adventure, she's just as lovable as ever. Although I'm obliged to report that without subtitles it is off-limits to young hearing-impaired players, I'm first in line for thanking Humongous for preparing the next generation of adventure game players. Even though it has a Wild West theme I'm also pleased to report that there's not a gun to be seen.
GameBlitz (1999)
Apart from the enjoyment side, Freddi Fish 4 will help youngsters boost comprehension and problem-solving skills in such a delightful way that children won't realise they are picking up so much while having a whale of a time. An excellent effort to add to a really top-notch series.
