In the German gaming magazine PC Player (issue 01/1999) Gex 3D: Enter the Gecko was named as "Best Platforming Game in 1998".

Just like a lot of games of its time, Gex 3D's sound track is actually red book, which means you can put the CD in a normal AudioCD player to listen to it.
