Half-Life: Blue Shift

Now, after two cups of coffee and a pack of Lucky Strikes (not an ad - lol!) I finally managed to blow up the door that keeps the controls of the coolant pump (in the "power struggle" episode) from the outside world! Yep, ladies and gentlemen put away all your weapons, rockets, grenades and C4 packs 'cause they ain't gonna do the job here. You walk in to the door hall and what do you see? A detonating plunger with a cable cut on the one side, then the other half of the cable going on to some plastic explosives on the door. I dunno who had this obscure idea of splitting the cable in two halves, what I do know though is that the only way you'll make this baby to sing it's song is by finding a conducting piece to connect the two split ends. Something metallic would do the job just nicely. And how about that nice deep red barrel that is waiting for you in the right corner (as you enter the hall) between some crates. Put the barrel so that it touches the two naked ends of the cable and voila! We are having a bonfire party down in the blue shift's dungeons tonight!
