Happy Feet

A2M nous propose une adaptation peu convaincante de Happy Feet, jouant la carte de la facilité et du déjà-vu. Beaucoup trop simple et jamais inspiré, ce titre ne réussit pas vraiment à nous divertir, y compris à deux joueurs où les challenges sont toujours les mêmes. Ce pauvre Mumble méritait sans doute mieux.

Happy Feet as a videogame very much mimics the movie in that it falls well short of expectations. While the title does feature the same story and characters as its silver screen counterpart, it lacks the charm. The basic gameplay mechanics are incredibly simple and they repeat so often that the action is doomed for monotony. The end result is an experience that teeters on the mediocre. Yes, your four-year-old might find something to like here, but there are far better kids' games on the market. Unless you or your child is a Happy Feet fanatic, and I can't imagine that someone like this even exists, keep moving because there's very little to see here.

Pas de dessin animé de Walt Disney cette année pour Noël, mais les enfants ne sont pas en reste : foison de films sont présents sur les écrans pour les vacances. Parmi eux, Happy feet, des studios Warner. Comme toujours, le film est décliné en jeu vidéo, et comme (presque) toujours, il n'est pas à la hauteur du film...

Games based on kid-friendly properties don't need to be inferior. It's a shocking sentiment, but games like Cars and Barnyard prove that an animated film can produce more than a cheap cash-in. It's too bad that Midway and Warner Brothers missed the memo and churned out another lame movie game that sucks the happiness right out of Happy Feet. As a licensed product, it's mediocre, with enough charming moments to rescue it from the immediate bargain-basement abyss. But as a game, it's an absolute insult and more likely to put kids to sleep than it is to entertain them.

Dass Happy Feet ein schlechtes Spiel geworden ist, wundert uns nicht. Immerhin handelt es sich um eine Filmumsetzung, die - und das ist leider der Regelfall - so lieblos zusammengeschustert ist, dass man heulen möchte. Happy Feet macht im Prinzip alles falsch: Man quält sich durch eine Hand voll sich ständig wiederholender Minispiele, natürlich bei unerhört schlechter Sprachausgabe, ungenauer Steuerung und Grafik aus der Urzeit.
