Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup

"Quadribol" é um dos melhores jogos da EA baseados em Harry Potter, e parece ser o mais caprichado na recriação da obra da escritora J.K. Rowlings. É uma pena que só uma pessoa possa controlar cada time, mas isso não atrapalha muito a experiência. Sua única contra-indicação é que o game é bastante fácil e definitivamente voltado para o público infantil - então os fãs de "FIFA" e "NBA Live" podem ficar um pouco decepcionados.

HP:QWC is a rock solid game although the spot itself is a bit awckward in comparison to what we here on earth tend to play :D. The game is definitely a must-have for the fans as it shows an aspect of the Harry Potter world which has been neglected a bit in the previous games but now has been extremely nicely worked out, but also the normal bloke in the street will definitely it. Admit it: who didn't like playing a wizard in his youngest days, pretending to be able to fly on a broomstick to do some crazy stuff ?

No matter how we felt about EA’s other Harry Potter games (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone —59%; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets — 75%), there’s no denying their consistently high production values. And Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is no exception.

Als Harry Potter-Unkundiger hatte ich mir vor dem Test extra die Filme angeschaut und daran gezweifelt, dass man Quidditch zum PC-Spiel machen kann. Mein Respekt gilt den Entwicklern, dass sie den Zaubersport so unterhaltsam umgesetzt haben.

For all EA’s shortcomings, it makes a pleasant change to see a genuinely different title like this appear from their studios and the fact that it plays well is a nice little bonus, too. It’s not going to set the gaming world on fire, but QWC certainly provides a diverting little stopgap before the next batch of Potter films reaches these shores.

Harry Potter WK Zwerkbal is een degelijke eerste poging om de fictieve toversport Zwerkbal te simuleren. Toch is er nog heel wat ruimte voor verbetering. In zijn huidige vorm zal het dan ook vooral diehard Harry Potter-fans aanspreken.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is a pretty decent first effort at simulating the fictional sport of quidditch. However, the developers have definitely left plenty of room for improvement. With tighter controls and a little bit more effort put into deeper, more strategic gameplay, Quidditch World Cup might have turned out to be a very good game. As it stands, the game will primarily appeal to hardcore Harry Potter fans who are willing to overlook the flaws.

Par rapport aux versions consoles, on peut noter une maniabilité un peu moins agréable, d'où la différence de note générale. A part ça, le titre reste le même, à savoir un jeu un peu confus, pas toujours très intéressant et qui ne devrait finalement plaire qu'aux mordus des bouquins. Mieux vaut quand même attendre la sortie du cinquième tome plutôt que de se jeter sur le moindre produit Harry Potter survenu.

Si on vous parle de Cognards, du Vif d’Or et de Viktor Krum, deux réactions sont possibles. La première : vous reconnaissez là l’univers envoûtant du jeune sorcier Harry Potter, et plus particulièrement le sport favori des sorciers, le Quidditch. La seconde : vous vivez dans une grotte depuis une dizaine d’années. Cela dit, la vie d’ermite n’est pas forcément aussi dénuée d’intérêt qu’on peut le penser de prime abord, c’est pourquoi un bref rappel des règles du Quidditch n’est pas forcément de trop…

Fußball, Eishockey oder Basketball sind längst überholt - das weiß jeder Harry-Potter-Fan. Zauberer, die etwas auf sich halten, spielen Quidditch. Die Regeln sind auch für Muggel (= Nichtmagier) schnell erklärt. Jedes Team hat sieben besenberittene Spieler: Die drei Jäger versuchen den großen, schweren Quaffel (eine Art Ball) am Hüter vorbei in die drei gegnerischen Tore zu werfen - ein Tor gibt zehn Punkte. Dabei halten zwei Treiber die wild attackierenden Klatscher (Kugeln) fern. Gespielt wird, bis der Sucher den walnussgroßen, geflügelten Goldenen Schnatz gefangen hat.

D'une réalisation correcte dans son ensemble, Harry Potter : Coupe du Monde de Quidditch n'offre malheureusement pas de vrai challenge aux joueurs de plus de dix ans qui comprendront bien vite les quelques mouvements basiques pour marquer dans 90% des cas.
