Description

A stand alone expansion pack to last year's Haegemonia: Legions of Iron.

The Solon Heritage (TSH) is a multiplayer only package which includes 50 new inventions, new skills and heroes, new spaceships and strategy options as well as an improved Artificial Intelligence. The game combat is very much similar to Homeworld in terms of combat but it the whole game structure is a simplified version of Imperium Galactica. Players are able to colonize, conquer, do research, spy on enemy empires and even battle it out. The add on also adds a new features like trading and diplomacy between empires. The multiplayer network code has been improved and players won't have any synchronization errors like the first Haegemonia.

Trivia

Cut content

Originally Hegemonia: The Solon Heritage was supposed to ship with a single player campaign which takes place a few years after the events in Legions of Iron. Wanadoo then decided to release it as a stand alone multiplayer expansion with plans of making the single player campaign an optional download pack. For the US release, Dreamcatcher requested the game to be shipped with the single player campaign. However, the deal never went through partly because of the merger of Wanadoo and Microids. In the end, TSH was never released in the US. Digital Reality later released the unmade single player campaign in a text based format along with the modding tools.
