After a disappointing rookie season, the High Heat series seems to be coming into its own. Everything a great baseball game needs is here, and this game competes nicely with the likes of
Triple Play 2000. Hell, it even beats it.

Is there anything HH2K hasn't
done right? Well, yes. HH2K has a draft this year, and there’s
minor-league roster management
over multiple seasons to develop and bring up young players as they mature. But you can’t create your own custom league with a set number of teams, which makes things like office leagues harder to put together.
Still, HH2K has so much going lot it that if you’re a hard-core baseball fan looking to get in the action, this game says hello like the business end of a Louisville Slugger.

For the second year running, if you want to play baseball on your PC (and are willing to overlook some incredibly annoying bugs-come on, patch!), you have to have a copy of High Heat Baseball from 3DO and Team .366.

This time around, with High Heat Baseball 2000, 3DO has taken a solid foundation and crafted an even better, more impressive game. At the time of this review, High Heat Baseball 2000 still had its share of problems, but it was also clearly the best action baseball game on the market.

In its two years of existence, the High Heat franchise has gone from nowhere to the World Series. Right now, it’s the best baseball game out there, sure to please both casual and hardcore fans, and at a price of around $30 a bargain as well.

Wenn Sie
Hardball 6 noch nicht haben, nicht auf den Nachfolger warten wollen und sich von einer spartanischen Präsentation nicht von der Base jagen lassen, bekommen Sie ein sehr vernünftiges Spiel fürs Geld.
