The House of the Dead III

Typiquement orienté arcade, et représentant un défoulement majeur et très plaisant, HotD 3 charme immédiatement par son dynamisme, sa réalisation et son gameplay prenant. Néanmoins, peu innovant dans le fond et assez limité, sa durée de vie, et le plaisir qu'il procure s'estomperont rapidement, même si l'expérience fut assez renversante. De plus l'absence de HotD 2 et les quelques manquements vis-à-vis de la souris empêchent le soft de vraiment briller, ce qui est dommage. Un bon jeu, que son petit prix rend assez charmeur.

Um es kurz zu machen: House of the Dead 3 macht fun! Für gelegentliche Baller-Orgien und Fans von Doom 3 ist das Spiel sicherlich einen Blick wert. Nicht oft gibt's soviel Action auf einmal. Liebhaber der Swat-Serie werden allerdings nicht allzulange die Freude damit haben, denn Taktik, wird nie gefordert.

Fans of the series will no doubt enjoy this, and probably not miss the £20 it costs to own, but the rest of us will get very bored very quickly. If you must play this game, then renting the two-year-old Xbox version is probably a better idea, because House of the Dead 3 is completable in one or two very short sittings.

The insurmountable obstacle this game faces is the fact that it is already available, at a lesser price, on hardware for which it is easy to obtain a light gun. Regardless of the quick fix this game provides, a sensible reviewer can offer no better advice than this: get the game on the Xbox, or wait until its price tag falls by at least three-quarters.

House of the Dead III isn't a bad game, it's just not suited to the home format. It's a quick zombie infested thrill ride that'll please those few who actually spent money on a light gun, but everyone else will most definitely get more enjoyment out of the arcade version, as well as saving yourself a bit money.

De gokkasten in de speelhallen terugruilen met deze arcadegames, dan is er meer plaats voor degelijke pc-games in de winkelrekken.

Et un portage de jeux console, un ! Un an après être sorti sur XBox, The House Of the Dead revient, non pas à coup de fusil à pompe, mais à coup de souris, oui rien que ça... Il y a 20 ans, un vilain docteur, le sieur Curien crée une invention, un monstre ! Est ce pour nous rappeler Frankenstein ? On ne sait pas encore, bien que sa bête ait la même forme, elle se rebelle contre lui et le tue... c'est à ce moment précis que débarquent en ville des agents de l'AMS qui règlent l'affaire, Thomas Rogan et l'agent K, G pardon.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un défouloir bateau à usage unique, House of the Dead III pourra vous convenir. Sinon, passez votre chemin.
