It is clear that the planet of origins given for the "beast" Garathe Den's species, called Kullrathe in this game, is inspired by the catlike Kilrathi species, who come from the planet Kilrath, and who appear in the popular Wing Commander series of games.

This was one of two games in Sierra's short-lived k.a.a. line of action games.
