A game with a few faults but very fun to play and addictive.

The Good
I love the way you can take a county team and build it by buying players, bringing youth players through and terminating contracts of unsatisfactory players. I love how realistic it is with an accurate draw and players retiring after time.

The Bad
Some things I didn't like about the game are that there are a few faults that can become pretty annoying, such as when playing as Australia you can only go for a few seasons until the game ends in the middle of the Zimbabwe test series... Also I didn't like how after a while if you skip successive games the game becomes slower and slower and slower until you play a game... then it speeds up again... quite annoying. I also didn't like how if you save your game in the middle of a team innings (not at a break such as lunch or tea), then you load it again... the game freezes.

The Bottom Line
International Cricket Captain is an original and addictive game which involves either the management of a country team such as Australia or England, and also involves the management of a complete English County and National League team for up to 11 years. The style of play is original and unique in that you don't decide exactly what happens - you pick the team, manage training, adjust where to bowl or the aggressiveness of the batsman, and choose field settings. This style of play will soon grow on you and you will find that you can't stop playing! International Cricket Captain is a game in which a few faults are prevalent, but these faults are so minor that they don't affect the enjoyment of the game. I would strongly recommend this game - particularly for cricket lovers - it is unique, original and very addictive to play. A great game overall.
