Isis

This program is, as I mentioned earlier, unique. It really offers nothing that hasn't been seen in other video games, but it does combine them in a way that is very intriguing and fun to both play and watch. The program is available in both the Windows and Macintosh format, as well as the REAL 3DO Interactive Multiplayer platform. Although it is designed for Windows 95, the enclosed documentation states it may be possible to run using Windows 3.1 under certain circumstances. The game runs entirely from CD ROM, so there is very little hard disk space taken up with program files.

When all is said and done, ISIS is a good adventure game for beginning gamers or really hard-core Earth, Wind and Fire junkies. Unless looking at a small playing screen irritates you, the original plot, nice graphics and common-sense puzzles are worth investigating.

Auch wenn die etwas bizarre Mischung aus Adventure und "Earth, Wind & Fire"-Interviews und -Videos noch ganz witzig anzusehen ist, können sie über die mangelnde Komplexität nicht hinwegtäuschen. Vielleicht war Isis auf dem 3DO ein Knaller, für den PC gibt es einfach zu viele Konkurrenten wie beispielsweise Myst oder Shivers.

Ultimately, Isis seems more an element of a promotional campaign that of an adventure design. Skip it.
