Jane's Combat Simulations: Israeli Air Force gives the player the chance to join the Israeli Air Force, one of the most professional air forces in the world. Flyable aircraft are: F-4E, F-4 2000, F-15 2000, F-16D, Lavi ATF, Kfir, and Mirage III.

The game was developed by IAF pilots (on reserve duty), and features terrain with true elevation, made by using satellite data. The game featured support for Jane's multiplayer service, the now closed Combat.Net

IAF was developed by actual Israeli Air Force personnel (on reserve duty). The developer, Pixel, is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The main game release comes on 2 CDs. One CD is the game and second is IAF 50th Anniversary CD-ROM
