Live Pool is a pool game for one or two players with some interesting features. The game has a customisable pool room to enhance the atmosphere. Not only can the player control how much furniture is in the room, they can also have their own pictures hanging on the walls, play their own music through the jukebox, choose the style of pool table and select the colour of the cloth.

The game plays 3-Ball Pool, 8-Ball Pool, 9-Ball Pool, 14+1, Straight Pool, American Pool, Pyramid Pool, and Rotation Pool. In addition to playing with an opponent the game has practice sessions during which 'cheats' are enabled, the cheats being sighting and prediction lines for the cue and object balls. Control of the cue is via the mouse. Shot taking is divided into an aiming phase and a shooting phase, power for the shot being decided by the rate at which the player moves the mouse back and forwards. There are options for in-game help, network play and internet play.
