PC Gameplay (Benelux)

Worth Playing
Made Man: Confessions of the Family Blood for the PC is a poor port of an unimaginative and outdated PS2 game. There is little here to keep any gamer interested for more than an hour at best, and the lack of multiplayer and no consideration given to unlockable content means that if you manage to make it through Made Man once without switching off in boredom, you will not have any reason to pick it up again. If you are a hardcore action shooter fan, you may be insulted by the total lack of challenge or variation in the gameplay, and if you are not, there is nothing here to attract you to this uninspired generic disappointment. This is one confession that should have stayed within the family.

The action is little more than a nine-hour rinse and repeat; a loop of taking cover, shooting and occasionally sniping. There's no battle of wits; the maps are linear. Ammunition and medkits are so abundant you'll rarely be in fear of your life. The enemies, if they move at all, run directly into your bullets. The first boss, a helicopter, feels like there should be an interesting way to kill it, but there isn't. You just shoot it dozens of times.

GameZone
At the end of the day, Made Man has no redeeming factors and doesn’t hold a candle to the titles it attempts to imitate (Max Payne, etc). Even at its budget sticker price, you’re getting an under-polished, underdeveloped and generally horrific coaster of a disc.

GameSpot
If you painstakingly dig through Made Man's seemingly endless onslaught of poor design decisions and ugly problems, you might be able to spot a few things that come across as legitimately interesting or entertaining. But it's just not worth sifting through so much garbage to get to a few fleeting moments of fun, especially when dozens upon dozens of games do this formula loads better than Made Man does. Made Man was all set to be canceled once, and it should have stayed that way. Don't play this game.

IGN
Made Man's combat is as boring as daytime television, and all you do is fight. There's a notable narrative structure to house the flat storyline, but it's nothing to get excited about. Poor graphics, banal sound effects, and frequently absurd voice acting wrap up this bomb of a game in a rotten bow. Avoid at all costs.
